Getting startedWhat is an eSIM?
An eSIM is a digital SIM built into your phone. Instead of inserting a plastic card, you scan a QR code and the plan downloads to your phone.
Getting startedWill I keep my phone number?
Yes. Your home SIM stays on for calls and texts. Avealo runs alongside it as a second line used only for mobile data.
InstallingWhen should I install my eSIM?
Install it at home, on Wi‑Fi, a day or two before you fly. Your plan’s validity only starts when it first connects at your destination, so installing early doesn’t use any days.
InstallingMy QR code won’t scan. What now?
Turn your screen brightness up, or open the QR code on a second device. You can also skip the QR code: copy the manual activation code from your eSIM page in My account and enter it in your phone’s eSIM settings.
InstallingCan I install the same eSIM twice?
Usually not. Most eSIMs can only be installed once, so don’t delete Avealo from your phone after installing it. If you removed it by mistake, contact us with your order number.
Using abroadI landed but have no internet
Make sure the Avealo line is switched on, selected for mobile data, and has data roaming turned on. If it still doesn’t connect, restart your phone and give it a minute to find a partner network.
Using abroadCan I use hotspot?
Yes, you can share your data with a laptop or a travel buddy wherever the local network allows it. Hotspot data counts towards your plan like any other data.
Top-ups & billingHow do I top up?
Open My eSIMs, choose the eSIM you’re using, and pick a size under “Add more data”. The data is added to the same eSIM, with no reinstall needed.
Top-ups & billingCan I get a refund?
eSIMs that were never installed can be refunded within [X] days of purchase. Once installed or activated, we can only refund if the eSIM doesn’t work because of a fault on our side. See our Terms & conditions for details.
My accountHow do I delete my account?
Go to My account › Settings › Delete account. Installed eSIMs keep working until they expire, and receipts are kept as long as the law requires.
